This one was especially fun to work on because my family and I LOVE mochi, so getting to bring that love into a website project was a pretty sweet assignment. 😉 For the Mochi Shop in Columbus, the goal was to create a website that feels just as fun, colorful, and kawaii as the brand itself, while also making it easier for customers to discover and understand their products. We brought their personality to life with playful pinks and greens, stayed true to their existing branding, and gave their mochi the spotlight it deserves with more product photography throughout the site. And because their online shop is already powered by Square and the staff was used to receiving online orders that way, there was no need to reinvent the wheel. We kept their existing Square shop while making it easy for visitors to find, browse, and order online. One of the most rewarding parts of this job is getting to see a project come full circle. Over the past few months, I had the opportunity to redesign the website for GCR Co., a company that builds firewood bundlers for the firewood industry. We worked hard to get everything launched before the International Firewood Expo, and seeing the new site go live just in time for the event made all those final tweaks worth it. Even better? I finally got to meet the GCR team in person at the expo after spending so much time working together online. It's always fun when a project moves beyond emails and phone calls and turns into real conversations, handshakes, and seeing firsthand the passion people have for what they do. Another project from a few months back for Limb From Limb. We were working on bundle labels that needed variation for each type of firewood, kindling, and fire starter. Each needed to stand out from the other so customers could easily tell them apart. There's something satisfying about building out a brand beyond just the logo. Seeing the colors, layouts, and design elements carry through each product makes everything feel more polished and professional. It's a simple approach, but those little details go a long way in helping a brand stand out and feel memorable.
